Dede is an undergraduate RA majoring in Clinical Psychological Science and minoring in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Her research interests include cross-cultural differences in trauma related habituation and desensitization in children, and how these processes contribute to stress sensitization and risk for mood and psychotic disorders. She is also interested in biological moderators that may influence stress sensitization, particularly serotonergic genetic variation.
Dede will be working on collecting data for the lab's SONA study, "Mediators and Moderators of Sensorimotor Function," alongside further exploring her research interests. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology with the goal of working as a clinical psychologist in both domestic and international contexts.
Outside of the lab, you can find Dede reading a good book, spending time with her friends, or enjoying the outdoors!
