Leah is one of the lab managers at the CCNC primarily working under Dr. Moussa-Tooks. She graduated from Central College in May 2024 with a B.S. in psychology and biology. During her undergrad, Leah received a research grant which she used to explore disability type and self-concept. She also worked with Dr.Nikolas exploring how pubertal timing is impacted by early childhood adversity, while utilizing the ABCD study, before coming to IU.
Leah plans to continue her education in the future with an interest in disability research, specifically investigating biological mechanisms underpinning neurological and mental health conditions and their impact on functional impairment. Leah also has a strong desire to merge psychology and public policy. A long-term goal of hers is to help advocate for more community-engaged research. When she is not working, Leah enjoys drinking coffee, watching romantic comedies, and spending time with family and friends.
