Alaina majored in Neurosceince and Hispanic Linguistics with a minor in psychology. Alaina was on a pre-med track, and planned to apply to medical school. Alaina worked at an assisted-living center as a Patient Care Assistant, working alongside individuals with dementia. She was involved with the CCNC since the spring of her Sophomore year.
