Dr. Erickson was awarded her Ph.D. in Psychology and Neuroscience in 2013 under the mentorship of Dr. William Hetrick. She completed her clinical internship at the Baltimore Consortium (Maryland VA Health Care System), and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Maryland with Dr. James Gold. Dr. Erickson is now a Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Chicago, and is Principal Investigator of the Memory and Perception in Schizophrenia Laboratory, where "we are interested in understanding the neural mechanisms that give rise to sensory and low-level cognitive impairment in people with schizophrenia, with a larger aim to understand how these abnormalities impact cognitive domains that are important for functional outcome and overall quality of life."
